What a strange question to be seeing on the blog page of a Jewellers based in the South Side of Glasgow! Why on earth would a jeweller be asking such a daft question... cause we all know that a duck's quack doesn't echo - don't we?
I'll tell you what I do know about ducks. They can't feel the cold. Their wee webbed feet have no nerves or blood vessels ... which can come in quite handy - especially in Scotland : )
They have excellent eyesight and can see objects both near and far at the same time. They are almost impossible to sneak up on. Even when they are asleep they keep one eye open.
Some ducks even have expensive taste. According to ducks.org, in 1911, some prospectors headed to Nebraska after ducks (who were shot) were found to contain gold in their gizzards. (Ducks often eat gravel or sand to help them break down food)
And the answer to the question?
Duck's Quacks DO Echo. The BBC explain here.
And what's the reason for this quackers (if not very informative) duck post?
Well recently we have had an exceptional uptake of our DCUK Ducks. From the Tour de France ones earlier in the month to our World Pipe Band Championships ones just last week.
We're never surprised that we sell out every time - but this time was just incredible. Keep an eye out on our Facebook page (Like us even) for the next set to appear. You'll need to be quick off the mark though.
As always visit our website catalogue to view a wide range of jewellery, watches and pendants ... or pop into our Clarkston Showroom to have a look at them in person.
